Registration Norms
|
- A
system of registration of candidates has been evolved to monitor
the growth of the skills at the various Levels and ensure
planning of IT manpower. Candidates get a unique
identification number under the system.
- Registration
is a pre-requisite for appearing in a DOEACC O/A/B/C
Level examination. Candidates should apply for registration in
the prescribed form, which is attached at the end.
- Registration
is only for candidates and not for institutes.
Registration forms are available from the DOEACC Society free
of cost and can be obtained either in person or through post.
Clear photocopies of the registration form at the end may
be made use of by candidates for applying for
registration.
- Essentially a candidate can
register at only one Level at a time and appearing for
an examination, at any other Level, is not permitted.
- Registration,
by itself, does not entitle a candidate to appear for
an examination at the Level concerned, unless all conditions,
stipulated in the examination application form, and in any other
notification, relevant to the examination are fulfilled
by the candidate.
- Application
forms for examinations are different from Registration
forms. Registration number is also different from Roll Number
of a candidate, for examination.
- While
applying for registration, the registration form duly
filled in should be sent to the DOEACC Society with a photograph
affixed thereon attested by a Gazetted Officer/Panchayat/Bank
Officer/Centre Manager of the institute where the
candidate has undergone the accredited course. An
attested photocopy of the certificate of highest
educational qualification attained by the candidate
should be attached. The registration fee for the Level
should also be sent
|
The Registration fee (w.e.f 01-Jan-2010)
|
O Level
|
Rs. 2500/-
|
|
|
- Fee
includes a copy of the Student Guide and List of Institutes
conducting Accredited courses, which will be sent to the candidate
along with Registration Allocation letter and DOEACC
News letters which will be sent to each candidate for
one year after his/her Registration.
- Instructions
to applicants given in the Registration form should be
strictly adhered to while sending the Registration form.
- The DOEACC Society at New Delhi is the authority for registration for all Levels.
- Registration
is open throughout the year. However, cut-off dates
have been prescribed for receipt of completed registration forms.
- The current schedule of dates are:
|
Level
|
Cut of Dates
|
|
January Exams
|
July Exams
|
O Level
| Preceding 30th June | Preceding 31st December |
A/B/C Levels
| Preceding 31st July | Preceding 31st January |
|
- Candidates
will not be eligible for appearing in the relevant
examination if their registration forms are received after the
stipulated date, except in the specific cases as may be notified
by DOEACC from time to time.
- Students
from institutes running accredited courses can straightaway
fill in examination application forms of next higher Levels for
the next examination giving their old registration
numbers and paying the registration fees for the level
applying for. The registration fees would be in
addition to the requisite amount of examination fee and
postal charge. In such an event, if the student has cleared
all modules/papers of a particular Level, he/she would be
considered for next higher Level and his/her
registration would get upgraded. This facility would be
available only to the students taking the examinations
through institutes running accredited courses.
- With
a view to assist students who wish to pursue B Level course
immediately after graduation and in view of the delay in the
announcement of University results, filled application
forms for registration at B Level will be accepted by
the DOEACC Society up to 14th August for the January
examination subject to the conditions that:- a) the
application forms for registration complete in all respects
are sent in bulk separately for B Level by the institute, addressed
to Joint Manager (Admn.), DOEACC Society, Electronics
Niketan, 6 CGO Complex, New Delhi 110 003. b) the
envelope containing such application forms are
superscribed with a statement “REGISTRATION FORMS FOR
“B” LEVEL FOR JANUARY... (YEAR) EXAMINATION” and c)
such application forms are sent either through speed post
or through courier only.
- Registration forms
of newly admitted students to accredited courses of
institutes will be accepted by the DOEACC Society up to
one month beyond the normal cut off dates specified, provided
such forms are duly sponsored by institutes conducting
accredited courses and supported by a soft file
containing the data pertaining to the applications in
the data structure provided by DOEACC Society.
- Once
registered at a particular Level, the registration is valid
for ten consecutive examinations for O/A Levels and twelve
consecutive examinations for B/C Levels, reckoned from
the next eligible examination as indicated in the
letter of allotment of registration number to the
candidate.
- It is advisable that candidates register themselves as early as possible without waiting for the cut-off date.
- If
a candidate qualifies at the lower Level and wishes to continue
in the Scheme, he must register at the next Higher Level. In
such a case, he / she needs to pay the registration fee
for that particular Level. A candidate registered at
one Level, intending to register at another Level,
without clearing all modules/papers of the former
Level, will have to remit the fees for the latter Level along
with a registration form duly filled in.
- In
case a candidate qualifies in certain modules/papers at a
Level and appears for the remaining modules/papers at that Level,
and pending the announcement of results, registers at a
higher Level, in anticipation of passing the lower
Level, the candidate will forfeit the chances of
appearing in the modules/papers in which the candidate
is unsuccessful at the lower Level.
- Candidates
should invariably inform the DOEACC Society in case
there is a change of address, as communications to the candidates
will be to their addresses given in the Registration form.
- Personal addresses may be given instead of c/o Institutions
